Water Rates

HIXSON UTILITY DISTRICT OF HAMILTON COUNTY, TENNESSEE SCHEDULE OF WATER RATES

Residential water rates are as follows:

Minimum charge - 5/8" Meter		$9.78 per billing cycle
Minimum charge - 1" Meter		$19.29 per billing cycle
First	50,000 gallons	$1.98 per 1,000 gallons
Next	50,000 gallons	$1.78 per 1,000 gallons
Next	100,000 gallons	$1.60 per 1,000 gallons
Next	250,000 gallons	$1.56 per 1,000 gallons
Above	300,000 gallons	$1.39 per 1,000 gallons

 

Each billing cycle covers two months of usage. Rates are calculated by adding the minimum charge for the size of the meter + consumption for the billed period.  

Commercial water rates

HUD charges commercial customers a minimum water charge, based on meter size. Customers who consume less than the allowed usage are only billed the minimum charge. Allowed usages and minimum charges are as follows:

Each billing cycle covers one month of usage for commercial customers. Rates are calculated by adding the minimum charge for the size of meter + consumption for the billed period, if the allowed usage is exceeded. Consumption past the allowed usage is billed at the same rate as residential consumption. 

Please note: Rates above are for water usage only. Sewer rates are controlled by your respective authority. Hixson Utility bills for Chattanooga Sewer and Hamilton County WWTA, at the rates we are instructed to use from each authority. Sewer is billed by total water consumption. Any questions concerning your sewer charges will need to be directed to your sewer provider, which can be found listed on your bill.
